  4.   Welcome to newest version of Dominoes, now at version 2.0!
  5. An update to the older version of Dominoes is well overdue
  6. now, I've spent quite a while giving the progam a facelift,
  7. and adding a lot of requested features.  Please note that
  8. Dominoes v2.0 is Shareware - please try it out, and if
  9. you like it, please register your copy.  Please note, only 
  10. Muggins and Draw are available in the unregistered
  11. version - you must register to get access to all other
  12. variations.

  14.  Dominoes offers something for the whole range of Domino
  15. players, from people just learning the game, to old veterans
  16. who've played for years.  Here's a brief list of the features
  17. available:
  18.  
  19.  * 11 different games of dominoes supported:  Block, Draw, 
  20.    Muggins, Mexican Train, and many more.
  21.  * Different lead types: "Play in Turn", "Last Domino", etc...
  22.  * Up to three computer opponents.
  23.  * Three skill levels.
  24.  * Intuitive drag and drop interface.

  27. Getting Started:

  29. Select the Game you'd like to play from the "Games" menu, and then
  30. start playing!  There are 11 games supported now, each of them with
  31. different rules.  (Open up "Game Rules" for a summary of how the 
  32. current game is played).

  35. Playing Bones:
  36.  
  37. You can play tiles by just dragging them from your hand to an 
  38. open space (denoted an indented region).  Pass and Draw buttons
  39. are available for drawing extra tiles, or passing your turn.

  42. Options:

  44. Under the Options menu, you'll find items that will enable you
  45. to change the current game variations, settings for computer 
  46. players, look and feel of the Dominoes themselves.  You'll
  47. also be able to enable the "Sticky Mouse" option, which is a 
  48. replacement for Drag and Drop, enabling you to click once to 
  49. grab a tile, and click a second time to release it.

  54. Domiones can be played on any Mac with at least 256 colours, 
  55. running OS 7.5.1, on a 68020 CPU.

  60. Dominoes is Shareware, with a cost of $19.95.  Try it out for a while,
  61. and if you decide to keep it, please play the registration fee.
  62. Registration is easy, please help keep shareware alive and keep up the
  63. stream of good independant software for the Mac.  When you register,
  64. you will be given a code to turn off the periodic shareware reminder 
  65. messages that will appear during the game.
